Karuah Timber & Oyster Festival
An extremely popular annual event is the Karuah Timber and Oyster Festival which this year is being held on the 19th of October. Each year some of the WORLS BEST competitors gather to compete in the weekend’s wood chopping tournament. Held at Longworth Park, on the Karuah River, the town comes to life. Food stalls pack out the park as well as Karuah’s main attraction. The Oysters! The best Australia has to offer. Oysters will be available at Longworth Park. Learn how the locals farm the oysters at one of the oyster sheds that line the river. Don’t miss this fun filled weekend. Plenty of activities for the kids.

Karuah Motor Yacht Club Fishing Competition
Held annually this competition is only for its members, however membership is only $10. Set on the mighty Karuah River, the competition goes over three days with a BBQ and presentation of numerous trophies given out on the Sunday.
